The Central Coast: Birthplace of New Music

The Central Coast is home to musician Madeline Stratford, who is also known as ‘The Pecan Lady’ to those who visit the Coasts own Pecan Orchard during the Harvest Festival. She has recently released her first Piano composition, which was recorded live at the Orchard.
Madeline’s musical style is focused around creating a soundscape with the Piano. Her pieces paint vivid pictures in the listeners mind, and evoke emotions of calm wistfulness & nostalgia.
Her single ‘Hush’ was designed to aid listeners with relaxing, meditating, sleep, anxiety or just studying/working. It is available to listen to on Spotify, YouTube Music and other streaming services.
Madeline has studied music from an early age, starting with the Piano from age 3. The great ‘classic’ composers (Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt) inspired her throughout her musical development, and modern composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Harry Gregson-Williams continue to do so today.

Madeline has written and published sheet music for Hush, exactly as it is played on her single.
Madeline also founded Stratford Music, in Woy Woy with her husband Chris in 2011.
Madeline currently tutors students during the week and has had great success over the past 10 years
with many of her students progressing on to bands, performance roles, distinctions in their AMEB studies and graduating from AIM and JMC.
There is much more yet to come from Madeline, with other Piano collections lined up to release in the coming month.
